Caston Varsity Boys started the season strong with a convincing win in the North White hosted triangular meet.
Many athletes posted career best efforts, bringing quite a few podium finishes, and then the evening was capped off with an impressive run by the 4x400m relay team. In the midst of tough competition, the team had slipped to third position, but a 55 second effort by sophomore Brady Evans brought the team into first place, which was held through the end of the race!
The guys pulled in first place finishes in the aforementioned 4x100m relay, 3200m run, 300m hurdles, 1600m run, shot put, high jump, and 110m hurdles, as well as second place finishes in the 800m run, 4x100m relay, long jump, discus, shot put, 100m dash, and 4x800m relay.

Final team scores for the meet were:
1. Caston 69
2. North White 59
3. Faith Christian 16

The Comets will compete next Saturday at Winamac.
