The Caston JH soccer team traveled to Delphi to play at noon Saturday and came home with a 9-1 victory. The Comets started out a little slow, but when they got moving they didn’t stop. By halftime the score was 4-0 and by the end of the game it was a win of 9-1. This was their 3rd win this season.
Braeden Dausman didn’t see much action at goal in the first half but finished with 2 saves before being relieved by Dominick Wolfe in the second half.
Scoring for the Comets were: Jan Aguilar with 3 goals and an assist, Brock Hook had 2,
Drew McGrew scored 1 goal on 5 shots, the Delphi goalie stopped two of his attempts. Braeden Dausman scored on an assist by Zach Rogers. Myles Sherrick and Reed Sommers each had 1 goal.
This team is improving with each performance. Coach Teresa Rentschler is quite proud of the way they are communicating and working together. It was great to be able to get all players more playing time today.
The Comets will host North Miami on Thursday, September 17th at 6:00.
