Tuesday night was a big night for the Lady Comets as it was Senior night and Dig Pink night. The Lady Comets started the first set out strong and took an early lead, but Triton was able to fight back and win it. However, the next set the Comets continued to battle, but had some problems with covering and transition at the beginning, then came on strong. Before the 3rd set began, the Lady Comets held a presentation recognizing a Caston aide, coach, parent, and alumni, Samantha Schanlaub, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The volleyball team had several different fundraisers throughout the week and raised over $1900 which they presented to Schanlaub before the 3rd set. This inspired the team to battle back and fight to win the set and play some of their best volleyball of the year. Unfortunately, they were unable to carry the same level of play into the 4th set and lost to a good Triton team.
